Five years ago I set out on a journey, which lead to the forming of PolyTube Cycles. It started as an idea. I wanted a new carbon fiber bike that was comfortable, stiff, almost indestructible and didn’t use over-sized tubes. A major part of the development was making tubes with various layups and then breaking them in destructive testing. Carbon fiber has a reputation for being un-repairable. The sight of all those broken tubes made me wonder if that was true. A quick search of the internet revealed that although it could be repaired, there aren’t very many companies that offer this service.
PolyTube Cycles was born.
